Formation Flying

Trust, communication and team work

Fly in close formation with our highly experienced coaches who will ensure your experience is both safe and fun! Safety is number one! So at the start of your course we'll be looking at formation positions, breaks, rejoins, loose formation emergencies and communication..

Legally, all that is required to fly in close formation is the prior agreement of the aircraft commanders. However, we strongly recommend that graduates of our formation training ONLY fly in formation either with other graduates or pilots who have received some formation training.

We can train in your own or club aircraft, or in our Aerosparx Grobs. Our motorglider training in quite unique, the aircraft are ideal due to their grace in the sky and slower speed compared to full aerobatic aircraft used by other schools. The visibility from the cockpit is second to none and the long wings help with formation reference points.

We have multiple GoPro positions on the aircraft and can record all cockpit and radio communications. These videos provide a great be-brief tool, and also a unique keep-sake to share with your friends

We can deliver this flying training either at our Home Base at Husbands Bosworth in Leicestershire, or at an airfield near you.
